The show will be co-hosted by David Kay of Advanced College Planning Solutions, LLC, Gina DiGiacomo of Brandywine Learning Center, Inc. and Stephanie Welder of Access College and Career Consultants. David will focus on financial planning, particularly as it relates to higher education. Gina will focus on educational support, development and enrichment with emphasis on preparing for college admission. Stephanie's topics will focus on college and career planning.

Each week will feature one of these three informative hosts. Once a month, all three will appear together to discuss a specific issue.

David Kay

David Kay is the founder and Managing Partner of Advanced College Planning Solutions. Advanced College Planning Solutions was created after meeting with numerous families of college-bound students and recognizing a need for the services the company offers. Many families feel overwhelmed with the paying for college process and just don't know what to do, thus they end up spending thousands of dollars unnecessarily.

Advanced College Planning Solutions, LLC offers complimentary on-site educational workshops throughout the year in high schools, corporations, associations, and non profit organizations. We have been invited to host college workshops as a supplement to company benefits programs to meet the growing needs of employees regarding college funding for their families.

David is a graduate of Temple University where he earned degrees in economics and political science with a minor in art history. In his early 20's, David, was also a tennis professional and taught tennis for several years in Philadelphia and in Cape Cod, Massachusetts.

David and his wife, Kerry, live in Eagle, PA. They have four children Daniel, Jaime, Griffin and Dylan. When David is not working he can often be found playing with his kids, coaching their sports teams, looking for little white balls lost in the ruff, collecting wine and enjoying time with friends and family. David dreams of opening a satellite office, one day, on the Caribbean island of Anguilla, where he and his wife enjoy traveling.

Stephanie has been guiding students to academic success for more than 20 years as a teacher in the Downingtown and Great Valley School Districts.  Teaching gave Stephanie an appreciation for the unique combination of interests, challenges and strengths of each individual…helping students build on their abilities to formulate and achieve goals.  In 1995 Stephanie began advising students and their families on the collegiate admissions process, finding a best-fit college from among the thousands of options, working to enhance their presentation for applications and interviews.

The connection between the skills used in college planning and those needed for career development often overlap; Stephanie continued working with adults in preparation for employment.  Her experience includes job search techniques, preparation of attention getting resumes and winning interview techniques.

As founder of Access College and Career Consultants, Stephanie enjoys assisting each client in overcoming fears and accessing passion.

Gina DiGiacomo founded The Brandywine Learning Center in 2003 out of her Downingtown home's basement. The first client was a neighbor who received a flier that was placed into her mailbox by a hopeful teacher with $0 in the marketing budget.

From there, BLC has grown into a community learning center offering a variety of education-related services including academic tutoring and college test preparation (e.g. SAT). These services are delivered through one-on-one tutoring as well as group programs throughout the Delaware Valley.

Daily, staff from BLC speak with families about education-related topics dealing with academic concerns, study skills, SAT/ACT test preparation, academic pressure, life-school balance. Education continues to be monumental in parents' minds and efforts in preparing their children for the future. We work to provide information, resources, and stress relief so that families and students can set and achieve goals while understanding the big picture.

We have found success in our community by offering information to families at no charge - by caring about the work that we do. That has translated into a great trust between our company and families. Families come back to us for the tutoring and test preparation services and refer others. When we allow ourselves to show our care first and the business second. That approach has "paid" off in more ways than financially.

Gina is a graduate of West Chester University where she earned a degree in education with a minor in developmental disabilities. After teaching public school in New York, she returned to her home state of PA to start BLC - having a desire to tailor teaching to each individual student according to his and her personal learning style, pace, academic level and interests.

Gina lives in Chester Springs, PA. She is passionate about her students, staff, family and friends. Gina is involved with supporting Chester County libraries, particularly as a Friend of the Chester Springs Library committee. She works with the Chester County Futures program providing test preparation classes to children who may not otherwise receive such help. Gina's dream is to continue to grow the company with the same integrity and community involvement that it has achieved to this point while raising a family of her own. A learning center at the beach is certainly in the plans as well.
