Up Close And Acoustic is a performance &
interview formatted radio program. The show
is produced and hosted by Charlie Silvestri
at the WCHE studios in West Chester, PA.
Each week, Charlie and WCHE will welcome
a band or singer/songwriter from the Delaware
Valley and promote that artist’s music and
feature songs recorded for the appearance,
right at WCHE’s own production studios.
It is community radio serving the local arts.

Who is Charlie Silvestri?
Charlie has hosted, co-hosted,
produced, and engineered many
radio programs over the years
for several different radio stations
in the Philadelphia radio market.
He has a conversational interview
style, is knowledgeable and quite
passionate about his subject.
He has formed close ties to the
musicians in the Delaware Valley
music scene and is a fixture at
many concert venues.

The Delaware Valley is full of talented musicians and songwriters.
But there aren’t many options for them when it comes to getting
radio airplay in ‘the Big City’. Corporate radio just doesn’t notice
most of these hard working and talented artists. It is up to the
community to take care of its own, and for these musicians it’s up
to community radio to maybe give them the break they won’t be
given access to on corporate airwaves. Up Close And Acoustic
on WCHE will fill that need.
